Our rigorous, mission-centered curriculum develops intellectual and cultural competence, emphasizing creative problem-solving and experiential learning. The Children are equipped with interpersonal skills to meet the challenges in their practical life. The management has been persistently endeavoring to provide the students with latest facilities and the teaching methods and the best strategies for student’s development tobe a part of us in your child’s holistic development. Highly trained faculties uphold the high standards we have maintained for more than 3 Decades. Our academic program is organized around 4 Academic divisions.

Early Childhood Programme (KG to STD II)

Vel’s Vidhyalaya offers an integrated, interdisciplinary curriculum for Primary school. Our academically rigorous curriculum is integrated with creative arts and presented imaginatively to engage the students physically, cognitively and emotionally.It is our constant endeavour to facilitate and provide a productive learning process through activity-oriented lessons, hands-on work and extensive co-curricular activities. As students move through the Primary School, we begin to introduce them progressively to the world of Integrated knowledge, Sensory activities, Montessori approach, Phonic drill, Play way arithmetic, Life skill-based curriculum, Soft skills, Learning creative work, Alphabet and numbers, Tamil/Hindi, Singing, Colouring, Story-telling, Nature talk, Health talk, Art and Craft, Games, Conversation, Bunnies and Rainbow week.

Primary Programme (STD III to V)

All subjects, are tackled laterally or thematically which make more sensible learning. Hand-outs and worksheets are compiled and designed by the teachers with care to make the concept comprehensively and cohesively understood. Graphs, maps, trivia, riders, puzzles, creative inputs, projects and field work all go to make for an involved, interesting learning experience. The curriculum includes core subjects, i.e. English, II Language (Tamil/Hindi), Mathematics, Environmental studies, (STD III to V), (Science and Social Science), Information Technology, General Knowledge, Life skills, Library, Art and Craft, Dance, Music, Games, Work Education, Environmental Awareness, Effective Communication, Yoga and Uniformed Services.

Middle Years Programme (STD VI to IX)

Middle School students study a curriculum that is broad based with emphasis on the core subjects.Middle School students are ready to tackle deeper and more discreet subjects with an array of specialist teachers, including the challenge of additional languages. From Class 6, General Science becomes more detailed as Physics, Chemistry and Biology and Social Science becomes more specialized as History-Civics and Geography. English, II Language(Tamil/Hindi),III Language(Hindi/Tamil), Mathematics and Computer Science General Knowledge, Life Skills, , Art Craft, Dance, Music(vocal), Games, Work Education, Library and Environmental Awareness, Uniformed Services and Yoga continue to be in the programme.

Vel’s Vission Academy is one of our pioneering ventures in the year 2010,has made a remarkable growth till date. It is a distinct integrated programme that train students to face competitive exams like NEET, IIT,JEE, IMO, SLSTSE, AMTI, South India Olympiad…etc., which in turn creates a conducive arena to combat today’s competitive world.

IIT Advanced & NEET

Vel’s Vission Academy is an integrated program for the Senior Secondary students, has always been preparing the mind in fundamental way. Teaching is methodological so that students do well in NEET,IIT–JEE, Boards, NTSE, KVPY, Olympiads and other entrance exams. students who are only confining their preparation to the pattern rather than understanding the concepts.
